How to reduce Anxiety

Breathing to find your calm

If you have had a big day or you are stressed or have excessive worry or anxiety and you want to know how to reduce anxiety with a simple breathing exercise. This breathwork helps slow down your nervous system so you can find your calm and allows your body to naturally refocus and feel more energised.

If you have a racing or monkey mind, focusing on your breath and doing this guided breathing technique will calm your mind and reset your system into a balanced state activating the parasympathetic nervous system.

Before you begin, relax your shoulders ad face, chin parallel to the floor, you can have your eyes open or closed as you breathe in and out through your nose.  If you are unable to breathe in and out through your nose, it's okay to mouth breathe - your oxygen intake is approximately 10% more when you nose breathe.
